Life Sewing

Workshop series · Goldsmiths University

A series of workshops which spring-boarded from Service with Her Smile, focussing on the traditional forms of education and understanding my own position within the creative industry.

The workshops were held within the design department at Goldsmiths University and began to challenge the scripted behaviours between master and student whilst reappropriating the physical materials, structures and dynamics that are found in traditional educational settings.

These workshops raised questions surrounding gendered forms of creativity and craft, highlighting another element of the complexities for gendered labour spaces.
